WAVi BrainScan.

A measurable baseline for how your brain is responding and processing.

WAVi pairs an FDA-cleared EEG headset with guided tasks and instant reporting. It records your brain's electrical activity and response speed, then shows each metric against reference ranges, so we have a number to start from and something to compare against later.

What It Is

Measure the brain like any other system.

We measure aerobic capacity, body composition and metabolism. WAVi brings the same thinking to the brain.

WAVi is an EEG and ERP assessment system: a headset that records the electrical signatures of your brain, and software that turns the recording into a clear report. Guided protocols keep each scan consistent, so one visit can be compared fairly with the next.

A baseline, not a diagnosis. Reports are interpreted by a qualified professional as part of a broader evaluation. Where clinical evaluation is indicated, it is provided separately through the Institute for Human Optimization.

How the Scan Works

From headset to report.

Five steps, one visit. Scroll to follow a scan.

01

Fit the headset

Typically 5–10 minutes

The headset is fitted to your head. It is a wet EEG system that does not need gel in your hair, and you remain seated and comfortable throughout.

02

Sensors record

Electrical signatures

Sensors across the headset record the electrical activity of your brain and store it as a digital record.

03

Guided tasks

Consistent every time

Guided protocols capture eyes-closed and eyes-open recordings and task-based responses such as the P300 evoked response, Flanker and trail-making tests.

04

Instant report

Against reference ranges

Results arrive as a graphic report, with each metric shown alongside reference ranges and reviewed with you by a qualified professional.

05

Compare over time

Same protocol, every visit

Repeat recordings can be compared across visits, turning one scan into a record of how your brain is responding over time.

What It Measures

Speed, strength and rhythm.

The report focuses on a handful of clear metrics, each placed next to a reference range.

01

Response speed

How quickly your brain responds during task-based (ERP) recordings.

02

Response voltage

The strength of that response, recorded as voltage.

03

Resting rhythms

Eyes-closed and eyes-open EEG and QEEG metrics recorded at rest.

04

Reference ranges

Every metric is shown in context, so results are read against a range rather than in isolation.

Measure first. Then build the Circuit.

Why Measure Your Brain

A number to start from. A record to compare against.

01

Establish a baseline

Know where you start before you change anything, the same way VO₂ Max anchors a conditioning plan.

02

Track change over time

Repeat scans using the same protocol make it possible to compare visits rather than rely on how you feel on a given day.

03

Inform the next step

Results help shape what belongs in your Circuit, and when a finding warrants a conversation with a physician.

How It Fits

Part of your Circuit.

  1. Step OneScan

Complete a WAVi scan as part of your baseline assessment, alongside the measures that fit your goals.

  2. Step TwoReview

A qualified professional walks you through the report and what each metric means in context.

  3. Step ThreeRe-scan

We repeat the scan at a defined point to compare against your baseline and refine the plan.

FAQ

Questions answered.

Does the scan hurt?

No. The headset records activity; it does not stimulate the brain. You stay seated and comfortable throughout.

Will I need gel in my hair?

No. WAVi is a wet EEG system that does not require gel in the hair.

How long does setup take?

Fitting the headset typically takes 5 to 10 minutes.

Is WAVi FDA-cleared?

Yes. The WAVi headset is FDA-cleared under 510(k) (K162460), and the WAVi Scan Software is a Class II medical device (K213900).

Is the scan a diagnosis?

No. At Longevity Gyms the scan provides a baseline. Reports are interpreted by a qualified professional, and any clinical evaluation is provided separately through the Institute for Human Optimization.

How often should I repeat it?

There is no universal schedule. We set a re-scan point based on your goals and the rest of your Circuit.
