EBOO /EBO2.

Physician-guided · Institute for Human Optimization · Hanover, Maryland

Extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation. Your blood is circulated outside the body through a sterile, closed circuit, filtered, exposed to a controlled oxygen and ozone mix, and returned to you.

It is offered as one part of a broader longevity and precision medicine strategy, never as a stand-alone answer, and only after a medical evaluation.

What It Is

Treated outside the body. Returned to it.

3Processes in one circuit: filtration, oxygen and ozone, and light when selected
1Sterile, single-use circuit for every session

During EBOO, blood runs continuously through a closed-loop system. Along the way it is filtered and exposed to a controlled mix of oxygen and ozone before it returns to your circulation.

EBO2 describes the same extracorporeal approach. Where it is clinically selected, an additional light stage can be added to the circuit. Your protocol is individualized after a medical evaluation.

The biochemical effects of oxygen and ozone exposure are still being investigated. EBOO is positioned as one element of a broader physician-guided plan, not as a guaranteed outcome.
The Components

Three processes, one pass.

What sets the procedure apart is that several steps happen in sequence, inside one sterile circuit, during a single session.

01

Extracorporeal filtration

Blood is filtered continuously as it moves through the circuit. Continuous filtration is what distinguishes EBOO from conventional ozone autohemotherapy, and it allows a larger volume of blood to be processed in a session.

02

Oxygenation and ozonation

Outside the body, the blood is exposed to a controlled mix of oxygen and ozone. The downstream biochemical effects of that exposure are an active area of investigation.

03

Extracorporeal photobiomodulation

When clinically selected, the Hemealumen photodynamic device can expose the blood to visible and ultraviolet light as an additional step in the same circuit.

The Circuit

Follow one pass through the loop.

Six stages, one continuous circuit. Scroll to follow your blood out, through treatment, and back.

01

Circulation Out of the body.

Blood leaves through vascular access, and a peristaltic pump moves it through a sterile, closed circuit.

02

Filtration Continuously.

The blood passes through the filter as it moves, rather than being treated in a single batch.

03

Gas exchange Oxygen and ozone.

Inside the circuit, the blood meets a controlled oxygen and ozone mix.

04

Ozonation Controlled exposure.

Exposure is controlled within the circuit. The downstream signalling effects are still being investigated.

05

Light When selected.

Where clinically selected, the Hemealumen photodynamic device adds visible and ultraviolet light exposure.

Optional stage
06

Return Back to you.

The processed blood returns to your circulation, under clinical supervision from start to finish.

The System

Performed on PUR-FORM.

Our EBOO / EBO2 system is from PUR-FORM: a peristaltic pump, a hollow-fibre filter and, when selected, the Hemealumen photodynamic device. One line draws blood into the circuit and a second line returns it, with each stage in between.

Peristaltic pump used in the EBOO / EBO2 circuit
Line one

Draw

An IV line carries blood out, and a peristaltic pump keeps it moving.

Stage

Filtration

A hollow-fibre filter the blood passes through continuously.

Stage

Oxygen + ozone

Controlled oxygenation and ozonation outside the body.

When selected

Light

The Hemealumen photodynamic device, used only when clinically selected.

Line two

Return

A second IV line returns the processed blood.

Every session uses a sterile, single-use circuit. Nothing that touches your blood is reused.
Your Session

What to expect.

Patient resting comfortably in a treatment chair during an EBOO / EBO2 session
01 · Before

Prepare

Arrive well hydrated and follow the preparation instructions from our team, which may vary with your history and medications.

02 · During

The session

Sessions typically run about 60 to 90 minutes, longer if additional modalities are added.

03 · After

Aftercare

You leave with individualized post-treatment instructions and clear next steps.

04 · Ongoing

Frequency

Frequency is individualized, based on your response, lab data, tolerance and goals.

Safety & Clinical Oversight

Four layers of oversight.

Not every patient is a candidate. The process is built to establish that first, and to monitor everything that follows.

01

Individualized screening

History, medications, labs and contraindications are reviewed before anything is scheduled.

02

Physician-guided planning

Your treatment plan is set by a physician, not chosen from a menu.

03

Monitoring during treatment

Vitals, comfort, vascular access and tolerance are monitored throughout the session.

04

Sterile, single-use circuit

A new, sterile circuit is used for every session.

Frequently Asked

Questions answered.

Am I a candidate?

Not everyone is. Candidacy is determined through a physician-guided evaluation that reviews your history, medications, labs and any contraindications.

How long does a session take?

Typically about 60 to 90 minutes, and longer when additional modalities are added to the same visit.

How is EBOO different from ozone autohemotherapy?

EBOO filters the blood continuously as it circulates outside the body, which allows a larger volume to be processed in a session than conventional ozone autohemotherapy.

Is light therapy always part of the session?

No. Extracorporeal photobiomodulation is added only when it is clinically selected for you.

How often would I need sessions?

Frequency is individualized and based on your response, lab data, tolerance and goals.

Is the circuit reused?

No. Every session uses a sterile, single-use circuit.

Is EBOO Right For You?

Start with an evaluation.

Every EBOO / EBO2 plan begins with a physician-guided evaluation. If it is appropriate for you, we will build it into a broader longevity and precision medicine strategy.
